Worldwide CD debut! Flip Wilson was an African American comedian and actor. His career took off during the 1960'a when he became a regular at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, and was a favorite guest on the Tonight Show. He was also on Laugh-In and The Ed Sullivan Show. In the early 1970's he hosted his own weekly variety series, The Flip Wilson Show. The show earned him a Golden Globe and two Emmy Awards. In January 1972, Time magazine featured him on their cover and named him "TV's first black superstar". This album, originally hitting the Billboard charts in 1968, is making it's worldwide CD debut.
