The Romantic Piano Concerto Vol.77

As is often the case in Hyperion's inexhaustible Romantic Piano Concerto series, the common thread connecting Volume 77's featured composers is Liszt. Bronsart and Urspruch both moved within his Weimar circle. These concertos are pleasingly substantial, and the typically demanding piano writing is powerfully dispatched by Emmanuel Despax.
