Although opera singer Helen Traubel was best known for her Wagnerian roles at the Metropolitan, she also acted in Hollywood films (DEEP IN MY HEART), starred in the Rodgers & Hammerstein Broadway musical PIPE DREAM and was one of the first opera stars to make crossover recordings from the Great American Songbook. This CD is a compilation of the great soprano singing standards from this genre.
