"The Amos 'n' Andy Show" was a situation comedy based on early 20th century archetypes of African-Americans. Written and voiced by Freeman Gosden and Charles Correll, the series (first broadcast in 1928) grew in popularity and became a huge influence on the radio serials that followed.
