Stephen Flaherty won the Tony Award in 1998 for his compostion, Ragtime; he is also well known for composing Once on This Island. There are 36 tracks on this album: Tracks 1-18 contain the background tracks and guide vocals; tracks 19-36 contain the accompaniment tracks alone. This album is a re-recording in the original show key and show tempo. This album is recorded in the CD+G format. When played in a karaoke machine, lyrics will appear on-screen. No lyrics will appear when the album is played on a traditional CD player, however, a lyric booklet is included in the jewel case.
