Palestrina: Missa Papae Marcellii; Motets

The Sistine Chapel Choir returns with a new album on Deutsche Grammophon: Palestrina. Performed and recorded in the heart of the Catholic Church, the album features works by the most celebrated Italian musician and reformer of church music of his time. Meticulous research in the Vatican library has yielded world premiere recordings of two rediscovered works, as well as world premieres of new critical editions.
