Mas De Un Siglo

In 1993, following Banco Popular's 100th anniversary, the Bank began a tradition of making musical specials. Often referred to as the musical special of Banco Popular (the largest banking institution in Puerto Rico), it is an annual musical gift to the public on a CD and DVD. It often includes the best of the best of the musical traditions of Puerto Rico and Latin America. This collection has been a staple in the Music Industry and has included the who's who of the International Music industry, i.e, Pedro Capo, Olga Tanon, El Gran Combo, Ruben Blades, Juan Luis Guerra, Ricky Martin, Shakira, Juanes, Marc Anthony, among many other music icons. In addition to promoting the traditions, the musical specials serve as a platform to support and enhance, through the sale of the CD and DVD, various organizations and schools with musical programs supported by the Banco Popular Foundation. This years theme devotes its musical special to the last 125 years of music in Puerto Rico, in celebration of the Institution's anniversary. This production presents a magical tour by decade and highlights the various forms of music and genres that characterized each of those decades.
