Luke James

Long awaited 2014 debu album from the R&B sensation. New Orleans-born songwriter and vocalist extraordinaire Luke James, recipient of the 2013 Soul Train Centric Award grabbed the brass ring in 2012, when his debut single as a solo artist, "I Want You" received a Grammy Award nomination for Best R&B Performance. "I Want You," written by Luke, marked his first release on the NARS (New Age Rock Star Records) label. NARS is helmed by award-winning producer Danja (Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake, Keri Hilson) and long-time collaborator/mixing engineer Marcella "Ms. Lago" Araica. Called by Billboard as a star who doesn't "fit in your typical R&B box," Luke James was born and raised in New Orleans, where his breakthrough came after high school. When Luke moved to Los Angeles and began singing background for R&B star Tyrese, it was apparent there was no holding this talent back from a pending, successful, solo career.
