“Kawaiokalena” is the much anticipated release from Keali‘i Reichel, adding to the legacy of his artful interpretations of Hawaiian music and chant. In recent years, he refocused his attention to hula and expanded his cultural teachings around the World. This album includes many hula and chant oriented selections, as well as some of his live stage signature selections that have not yet been recorded. A thread, throughout, touches upon his upland Maui home and its transcendent surroundings, sharing his sensitivities and love of his world with the listener.
