A singer-songwriter with a smooth demeanor, Avant has been all over the Urban charts in the last decade since he first appeared on the scene under the label banner of basketball-star-turned-businessman Magic Johnson. Snoop Dogg opens with the collaborative effort "Read Your Mind." Nicole Scherzinger, lead vocalist of the Pussycat Dolls, joins in on "Lie About Us." KeKe Wyatt shares the vocal interchange on a reworking of Rene and Angela's "My First Love" while Li'l Wayne lends some risqué bounce to "You Know What." All told, Avant offers a stellar performance on a variety of smooth ballads and urban grooves.
