This album really showcases a mature, confident Janis, who has mastered the high art of orchestral arrangement. Janis combines musical colors to paint a most majestic landscape, then pulls the listener right into it with a single melody. Each song has a character all its own, yet somehow Tim is able to invoke the crisp, clean winds of winter throughout the album.
