Worldwide CD debut! Flip Wilson was an African American comedian and actor. His career took off during the 1960'a when he became a regular at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, and was a favorite guest on the Tonight Show. He was also on Laugh-In and The Ed Sullivan Show. In the early 1970's he hosted his own weekly variety series, The Flip Wilson Show. The show earned him a Golden Globe and two Emmy Awards. In January 1972, Time magazine featured him on their cover and named him "TV's first black superstar". This album, reaching # 34 on the Billboard charts in 1967, is making it's worldwide CD debut.
