Babylon

Released in 1980 as the soundtrack to the classic British film of the same name, the Babylon original soundtrack features the talents of some of British reggae's most influential artists. Driven by the pioneering work of Matumbi founder - Dennis Bovell - the album includes a number of classic cuts from artists such as I Roy, Aswad and Yabby U along with original compositions for which Bovell worked closely with the films striking footage. Includes 7 tracks which Bovell found in his archive which although featured in the film, never made it onto the original soundtrack. EMI. 2005.
