Using real frog and other wildlife sounds, A Froggy Christmas strives hard for the Xmas yuks with titles like "Croakin' Bells" (by Frog Marley), "Blue Christmas" (Elvis Frogley), "We Wish You a Froggy Christmas (a Ventures-like track by the Surf Frogs), and others. As to who this bog-minded oddity is intended for, it's hard to say: kids might miss the musical jokes but love the real croaks; adults might get the jokes but roll their eyes at the froggy antics. Even though the record purports to be giving "a portion of the proceeds to various non-profit nature conservation groups," none are listed. Let the buyer beware; here's one slippery record Santa will have trouble slipping into the stockings. --Martin Keller
